Anyone have a PPG paint code for the 621 Rustic Green color? I went to English Color yesterday to buy some paint to repaint my 40 and they couldn't find the color. I search on AutoColorLibrary Color Chip Selector and they don't have a listing for 621 as a Toyota color. Everywhere I searched doesn't have a listing for 621.

Thanks,
Nick

Just go to your paint store and tell them it's toyota 621. They looked it up for me in about 3 minutes and I was out the door 30 min later with a gallon of Rustic green base.

621 IS the paint-code. It is your shops job to look up the code to whatever they sell (ppg, lesonal, etc..).

I used Lesonal base (wanda) and then I used PPG DELTRON clear.

Why mix systems?

I keep reading you should never mix systems, even paint and primer. I would be really wary of mixing a base and clear.

But I'm a painting newb at best.

It does not matter what base clear you use as long as they work together chemically. I've been at professional paint shops that have used all kinds of crap, including spraying ANY dark color over primer to help the actual base coat cover better....

...just have to make sure you know what chemicals you are using so you don't curdle up a base coat, etc...

Vinegar is vinegar, whether it's wal*mart or walgreens.

very old thread i know, but to clarify, when searching the google, try searching for T621 or ppg number 44682
