I came across a garage sale that had 5 jerry cans for cheap, however, some are very rusted on the inside. Any suggestions on how to clean the inside and make useable?

could use a por 15 gas tank kit?

hand full of pennies and some phosphoric acid and shake shake shake?

x2 on the acid and pennies... except i use nuts and bolts cause they seem to be more abrasive

got to love a good garage sale..............:D:D

Thanks guys. I will try the nuts and bolts with acid cuz pennies are hard to come by these days.

I use a piece of chain, not pennies. Just sayin';)

how much are they? Before you go though all the hassle of restoring them you might be better off buying new ones...

sounds like a PITA to clean those things out of rust

all that hope and positive change caught up to you too hugh??

if you decide that cleaning them is to much of a PITA though for the right price id like to have one of them

I'd say buy new ones but then I've been poor since Bush broke the country so I can't follow my own advice.

For .50 each I thought I could salvage a few anyways.

,50 cent what a deal---------you could alway's put one on there just for "the LOOK":steer::steer::steer::steer::steer::steer:
