Hey, big thanks to you for the Knee work after my "trip" across the bluffs. The Ace wrap made all of the difference in the world.

Those pics sure show how "seasoned" the FJ Cruiser group became after just a few short days.

No worries, glad I could be of service. I know that I've gained a tremendous amount of knowledge over the trip and I know my daughters have a much greater respect for what it takes to take on such an adventure. They became "seasoned" off-roaders also...

I never did my version of a "trip report" because we have had limited internet access. I hope this still gets some traffic but here is my version of how things went for the FJC's. Its hard for me to put this event into perspective but the organizers did an outstanding job with the whole event. The breakfast and dinner was very good and all the events went off without a hitch. We camped at "Dirty Dozen" in the "Springs" which was a nice place to hang out since it was a bit removed from the "adult" events.

Bottom line is that I'm very thankful for being able to experience this event and trail at least once. I highly recommend everyone finding a way to do this at least once. The biggest problem is that I have to find a way to pull this off again now that I've done it. I have to see do it again at some point in the future. Living ~2800 miles away makes for a more challenging trip but as I stated before, it was/is worth every mile.

I have uploaded pics to my photobucket site in the "Rubithon 2008" album and here are a few for a taste...

You have to look closely to see the reaction of my daughter to know how close were were to the granite...

A week on the 'con without any drama, somebody had to work their ass off, and I'm glad for it.

Cruiser Drew, Powderpig, Alvaro, Rick and the rest who are too many to mention....Thanks.
Top 5 life experience to be able to drive the con and spend the time in the Sierra's.

Yes, that is Lori... she contacted me but I was not sure who she was referring to, although she noted 55 guy.

Can anyone help me find out who this was? He ran with us on Big Jim's all day Thursday run and was always up front helping me out when stuck. His wife was recording the whole time and I would like to get in touch.

Thanks.
Who Is This.webp

Mike Schlinski... and his wife Jo.

Excellent people... some of my very favorites.

Yeah, that guy was 100% good people. Very helpful. Between he and Jeeper Ron , I hardly had to get out of the truck.
