On behalf of Mountain Transit Authority (MTA), an enormous Thank You to Tony & all the Rubithon volunteers for an awesome event. Everyone in MTA had a great time.

A special thanks to the EMT crew and thier assistance with Sarah's ankle injury. Even with the injury, she came back from the hospital to make the best of the situation and finish the weekend.

I, too, want to thank EVERYONE involved with Rubithon '08. Being a Rubicon virgin, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. My daughters and I would like to express our gratitude to everyone's hospitality and attention to our puppy, Rubi.

I would also like to express my gratitude to Robbie, Ron, Brian, Connor, Colin and Garrett of the Toyota Trail Team in their guidance and expertise in getting the FJC's through this event without incident. I'm proud of all that I've learned from them and hope to spread their knowledge to my fellow FJC owners. I've learned new limits and capabilities of this vehicle that I had not imagined before.

It was a long trip from NC to CA but worth every mile. I have to find a way to make this happen again, soon.

Thanks again to everyone...

Woody, since there are at least 20 "sends" from Pirate to Mud each week, forgive me for this one back the other directions please :)

Story from the event...

Pirate4x4.com - The largest off roading website in the world.

No worries Nolen, you know I'm not that way....lol

(did scavenge a P4x4 sticker later tho...it'll be on my fridge soon! ...and I finally met Jeff! too kewl!)

Great pics and writeup, and I had an EXCELLENT time....will be back next year, possibly for a full two weeks!!

Jealous and I will be there next year, no matter what.

Just talked with CDan and he said that Rubithon blows away Moab.

:flipoff2:

I knew that already.

;)

-o-

Bummer! It's too bad that both of your CM registrations will disappear for the next Cruise Moab! Oh well at least you can still go to Kali!:lol: ;):flipoff2:

What an awesome trip! Thank Tony and everyone involved! 2650 miles round trip on Premium fuel and no regrets!!!!

Tony what can we say' THANKS QUOTE]

Nothing more needed to be said after that... you are welcome and I am glad you and everyone had a great time!

Thanks for sharing the photos, we did not take a single photo.

The last shot was the committee awards and I hope all committee enjoyed them as much as I did.

Nice set of pics Chappy. Glad you guys had a good time. I hope we see you next year.

I'm now in Illinois.....woah, what a difference... (yes, left Tahoe about 7:30p on Sunday, arrived here 1900 miles later at 6:30p Tuesday)

Props to the ENTIRE Rubithon crew....I had an excellent time....great people, great wheeling, great people, great food, great people, great entertainment, great people....Tony, you ran a good crew and ran it well.

Finally got the opportunity to put a lot of usernames and faces together...and ran into many more that I've already met at other events...a pleasure to tip a few with ALL of you!

Ross...and Ross Jr....mmmm...no comment.....lol (like father, like son)

BTW: how would one get a apron? I do a LOT of Trail Team cooking, and the boring normal black one I have now just doesn't quite cut it...

See you ALL in 2009!!! I WILL be there!!

Thanks for letting me tag along guys! Wish my truck was there, but there's always next year to make the trip. Be sure to check out the photo of woody humping an FJ tire.....and the mouse living in the ARB bumper :)

Toy really said it, Thank you guy's all so much! All of you that were on the straight thru were incredible!!! Everyone was so helpful and patient. Being our first time out we really didn't know what to expect and the trail was so much more than we were expecting. For us to get thru Cadillac with only that minor scratch on the driver’s door was unheard of!! Thank you Bud our own personal tow service there to give me a tug when we got high centered. John thank you for the tow out of the pond! Everyone else thank you for your awesome spotting!!!! I wish I had asked (and remembered) everyone’s name. I do remember Jarrod, Chris, and Eric your wisdom and spotting really kept us coming out without damage. Big Jim you set an awesome pace and your experience got us all thru relatively unscathed. My wife and little one also had an amazing time, and we can't thank you all enough!!!! It truly was the trip of a life time, and we hope that we have a group half as awesome as all of you were this year when we go next year!!!!!!!

P.S. John how is your little girl doing? She was such a little trooper, Karly and I just hope that she's doing well.

Great pictures, everyone. Thanks for sharing.

Hey, big thanks to you for the Knee work after my "trip" across the bluffs. The Ace wrap made all of the difference in the world.

Those pics sure show how "seasoned" the FJ Cruiser group became after just a few short days.

I'd like to thank Ross Woody for sharing his wisdom... he is truly a kind, wise gentleman and I'm happy to have finally met him in person. I hope we can coordinate a local run sometime soon.

I was honestly honored to shake Mr. Marlin C.'s hand on Saturday night. I'll make him proud to see his work with the FJ Cruiser.

Many thanks to Gary and the Mudrack crew on Cadillac Hill. Once up, the exit could not have been smoother! Every Cruiser came out quickly, and without a winch or a scratch. Gary installed my lift kit last January, I know I'm lucky to have access to such an icon...

Hey, I'm glad that you were able to use some of my rubicon experiences, and make your trip a little better. Even though your group was the "red-headed step child" you all hung with it, stepped aside, and let everyone enjoy the trail. The beauty of that was on Wednesday, after we passed you, there were no other organized runs "pushing" on you, which probably made your trip much more enjoyable.

I actually think you guys navigated Cadillac hill really well. In fact, I think you did better than the trail teams guys at certain points.

Looking forward to seeing you and your husband on the trail, or at a bar soon!
