Does TLCA send out registration conformations?

What is the best way to handle the Human Waste issue?

Where is the best place to park tow rig? (truck/trailer)

Got my confirmation in the mail yesterday. You need to have you own portable toilet. Many people park at the Ice House. I can't answer any more questions since this will be my first Rubithon.

There are a bunch of other posts on this and the the Pirates forum, just look around a bit and there is plenty of info. I got my reg confirmation two days ago so they should all be in the mail.

Personal toilets are a must and Ice House resort has always parked trailers for a fee, suggest you call them to be sure.

What run are you doing?

Thanks for the info on ice house

Thurs. Breakfast

That is the run I really wanted to do but family schedule dictated that I go with Friday. So far I am the only one on this forum going that day.

It will be fun to see a built 80 on the trail. have you done this trail before?

Taz,

What nobody said directly, you need to pack your poo out. I just the PETT toilet, very nice, there are others. Poo powder is used in double plastic bags, so the day after you eat a burrito you toss one in your trash bag.

Speaking of trash bags, large burlap bags tied off your spare tire are convenient and are much stronger than plastic trash bags which can unknowingly tear and distribute your trash over the trail for miles.

See you soon!

I am dropping my trailer at McKinnly staging area (Tahoma) and then driving over to 50 and down to Ice House Road. I like having my trailer at the end of the trail, if you are broke or damaged you can still make it home. Plus after four days of getting beat up, its nice to have A/C and a nice ride on the way home :) I am coming from Roseville up I-80 side and over to Tahoma.

I too am on the Thurs breakfast run with my 12 year old son, see you on the trail!

I could not find a burlap one last time I was looking and ended up with a $10 heavy duty laundry bag that works awesome. It has a hoop in the opening that makes it nice and easy to get stuff into, while the weight of the sack keeps it closed..

Speaking of outhouses. Two years ago when we got to the springs it was like no one had been there before. Two days later, there was TP behind each rock around the campsite. Guys, tell your girls to pick up their used TP.

Regards

Alvaro

Drip Dry? some people say "save the septic" I think that phrase must be a foreign language and anyone who doesn't understand it should not be allowed on the trail.

I got my trail confermation... I am on the 5T 8:30 run. I assume 8:30 is the time we hit the trail or is that the breakfast time?

La Cabra is loaded and I'm ready to go.
See you guys on the trail.

Alvaro

Littleboss,

Thanks for your call yesterday.
Maybe you guys can come on the 80s on the Con the 5th.
