I am traveling in on the early Thursday AM adventure. Does anyone have a camp reservation in or around Loon Lake for Wednesday? Could I drop by and sleep in camp Wed. night?

Jim-I have camped several times right at the start of the trail at Loon. Go down the dam road, across the spillway and look ofor a small lone pine tree to the left. At the base, there is a flat spot big enough for about 4-5 trucks and tents. There is also a good fire ring.

Thanks, I'll cruise the Loon camp first and see who is around, then make my way to the dam. That was the plan all along. Just looking for some company.
