Hi all,

I recently purchased an ikamper 2.0 to mount on my GX. I just got new cross bars to replace the OEM crossbars. I purchased an Inno kit and one of the components (a mounting component ) lists the maximum weight as 140lbs. The ikamper is 160lbs. The retailer says it’s fine so long as I don’t mount anything else. The actual bars have a 220lb weight limit which is what made me think the kit would work.

Do you agree? Is this safe to mount? Appreciate any feedback! Thanks!

I have the same tent: GX460 / Prado150 - https://forum.ih8mud.com/forums/gx460-prado150.271/?prefix_id=41
but it's mounted on a Gamiviti rack. 5 years into it and never had an issue.
Are you using ALL 6 of your rack mounting points?
If so, I'd say you're fine.
Also, all the loads they use for rating are for dynamic loads (when driving and bouncing around).
Static loads are much higher, hence my wife and I have no problem having ourselves and gear totaling >300 lbs in the tent when we have the tent up.

Appreciate the feedback! I think I’ll return what I have and get something a little burlier. Thanks!
