I took off the antiroll bar to sandblast and paint, not when I went to reinstall, the hydraulic piston is extended, so i need to compress it to bolt up the other side. do I just apply pressure to jack it up?

mcFly?

Did you open the valves to put it in service mode? If not do that first. After that, you just need to get creative with a ratchet strap.

Thanks for postin Creeper. I posted this over in the 120 section also. Guess I did not get an answer there either, but I posted up my findings from the world wide webz.

From that it sounded like I could just slowly push up the cylinder without opening up the valve. Here is linky with that info.

just saw your link to pdf. Great info there. Wish I had that before I started.

You probably can, but opening the valve takes 1 min tops and makes it easier.

Very good. will try moderate pressure and see if it retracts. if not will do service mode.

Thanks for the informaiton, I was getting scared that there is not information out there on these 150 series rigs. I am used to the 80 section, where any post will have an answer in 5 minutes.

Cheers,

I've never opened the valves on mine. I just use a jack under it. I'm not totally sure how opening the valves helps relieve the pressure. The down pressure is from the condensers that have 500psi in them and the fact that they are not a balanced cylinder. So they will always be under about the same amount of pressure to extend - unless I guess you're getting most of the force from the other cylinder? I'm not sure how it helps. But it sounds like it does.

good luck.
