Hey everyone, I broke the connector plug in the back of the alternator. Old threads say cdan could hook it up but that was years ago. Anyone have a part number or advice? Thanks!

Yes, it must be correct unless the previously posted part number is incorrect but he member who posted that number is one of the local electrical gurus so I’d bet my arse the number is correct. And, it looks like the one I wired in a couple years ago. Good luck.
The new terminals come with 6" pigtails already crimped. I just cut off the old and soldered.Hey guys, my connector crumbled too. About to order the plug and pig tails. What would be the correct way to fix it? Cut and re-solder right at the end and insert the new spades into the new connector and call it a day? Also, is the tool (like the one witsend has) for the spades necessary? Thanks in advance.![]()

Some folks prefer crimp butt splices, but I prefer to use solder and shrink.
