I recently determined that I have the RS 3000 system in my 97 LC. Since the PO must've lost all of the remotes, I was not provided with any keyless entry device. When I went to the local dealership, they had a key fob transmitter, but I thought I remembered these systems being available withy an all-in-one key/transmitter in head.......Is this correct or am I stuck with a key fob for a transmitter for keyless entry?

Also, I suppose Beowulf's site is the place to go for programming instructions, right?

Thanks,

dnp

Nice!, you have the "factory" LX alarm correct? what key+fob do I need to look for?

80 series Cruisers with buttons in the key head are not fectory alarms. They are a private distributor's in-house system, most likely Gulf States.

You don't want those anyway as the head is prone to breakage.

About $51.55 ;)

The part number on mine is: 08191-60820. it is a 'factory' Lexus alarm, and the buttons are on the keyfob, NOT the key head.

Seems like when i had to get a duplicate master ke, it was around $125...the fob was right at $75. That was before I became familiar with the 'smart shopper' concept.
