I need to watch that vid some more. Can someone clarify where this flop happened?
It looks like it is where you can go up to one of the balds. (I can never keep straight which is what name.) The long straight go up. Might be wrong, dut?

I can't figure out exactly where they were. Here is some text from their website.
"Caney Fork is a fun and generally not terribly difficult trail. There are a few obstacles that can provide a good workout, a short muddy climb to a bald just below the top of Caney Fork, and a long muddy hillclimb at the top of Caney Fork. Both climbs I had done successfully in the past, in drier conditions. However, on this day things were very sloppy. I tried the big nasty climb several times before giving it up as undoable in current conditions with my rig. I thought I should be able to do the smaller climb, and drove back down the trail to it.
The climb, though short was very muddy and loose. I was able to get my front wheels over the crest, but couldn’t bring the rear up – everything just spun. As I was spinning my wheels, the truck slid to the left, leaning me against the side of the climb with a large kerb of earth wedged under my left slider. I turned my wheels to the right, thinking that I could back off and straighten up, backing down the rest of the incline to the more level area below. In theory. What actually happened was the ridge of soil under the left slider lifted the front left tire as I slide backward, then dropped the front left tire several feet as I was sliding backward. Very quickly the whole truck slipped violently to the right, lifting the right side tires and then flipping onto its side in the middle of the climb."
I think they were climbing up to the lower bald - where we camped at last time. Did the 110 flop on the flatter ascent to the lower bald?
After looking at the pics and write-up some more it appears that he got sideways on the trail, tried to back down to realign, and ended up backing himself into a flop.
That is a nice 110 to flop. There aren't many of those around.

Judging from the pictures this rollover happened right at the 3 way intersection just past the lower bald (where we had to camp last time) going towards the upper bald......... this is actually the same area I had to give a strap to a stuck Rover this past trip 
Though that guy made the little hill climb where the 110 rover flopped and was stuck in a little mudhole just above
if you look through the pics you can see in one of them the trail that descends down to caney fork and the lower bald a few hundred feet down the opposing trail.. so this spot is somewhat slightly in between the two balds but much closer to the lower one
seems the rover guys have a hard time with that paticular location

Gotcha - if you are right JP I know that exact spot. I helped out in that recovery and also helped w/ Steenh. If that is correct, that was an optional obstacle...

yes it is optionla and that little spurt doesn't really lead any where.... I was wondering why he would have even gone up that way. As there are obviously much easier approaches to the lower bald.
but looking at the pics again there is no doubt he is at the 3 way intersection not far past the lower bald
i got to admit, they rolled that rover back over using the "roof-rack" or roll bar! pretty damn stout bar! i really doubt my ARB roof rack would handle that type of recovery?
