Round eyes for square

Purchasing an FJ62 today. It's a very nice well maintained and non rusty truck. Everything is great but the headlights which are 80's square-the auto equivalent of Avocado appliances. I want it to look like a 60 with round headlights.

How much structure and what pieces of the front clip need to be swapped to make this happen? Will the harness work, or need to be adapted?

Anyone selling the front bits from a decent FJ60?

core support, bezels, and headlamp brackets, i think the harness is a little dif but not by much. but honestly i dont really remember on that one.

Heck, I've been thinkin' about just removing the whole side grills to fab up new headlight mounts for some integrated 55w IPF's. Maybe even the dual beams...

My you can cut the headlight brackets off a 60 and weld them to your core support.

This will save you alot of hassle.


I have all the 60 parts if you wanna trade......

That is a nice upgrade. Just not worth it unless you can get the parts cheap. But that is possible here.

That's really cool. Let me know shipping to 95864. That will be a start to the needed parts.

Hey Andy,
On the BBCNN site, krokarthekrooked has a BONE YARD of crusiers. Seriously...
Like 3 60's, 4 40's a couple of minis...its crazy. If you might need anything additional, PM him.

For some reason I just dont quite GET swapping the headlights based entirely on the asthetics...thats just me I guess.
What are your plans with the 62, DD?
