Nice Truck Cory. I would be curious how much the intercooler helps with a supercharger as well.

Being that its an air-to-water intercooler probably not much, at least not much after its warmed up anyway. Although the seperate cooler probably helps more than a "traditional" air-to-water intercooler which feeds off the vehicles cooling system.

Air-to-air is much more efficient, but you need a pretty big one to get anything worthwhile out of it.

Its been in my experience that an air-to-water intercooler isn't really worth the hassle. I had a friend who worked at ProCharger (which was across the street from where I worked) and I got to hear all about intercooling.

Is that river crossing with 33's or 35's?

Nice truck. Looks well thought out.

nice rig!:)

Very nice wagon.
Looks well thought out and constructed.
Also looks like you have one of those non retracting seat belts.

gnx - they're 285s (33)

topend - yeah, the driver's belt has done that as long as I've owned it, makes me crazy. It also does the thing someone else was describing that it locks up with even slight brake pressure.

It looks like your Hella 4000's are not in the stock holes on your ARB bumper is that correct? Nice Rig!

Sorry forgot to add this in...are you impressed with the 4000's? Are they the Euro beam versions?

Cory,

Awesome rig and a great write-up!

We "might" be visiting the in-laws in a month or so. I'd love to meet up again sometime even if we don't go wheeling this time.

Anyway, keep up the good work on modding your 80!

Mot

very interesting rig Cory. you have an amazingly small repair list in 4 years.

what kind of highway mileage do you get?

Mot - it would be great to see you again, I've got a seat reserved for you. :)

semlin - please, it's a Cruiser :flipoff2: That list is by no means comprehensive, but other than those, everything else has been wear items (brakes) or PM. Highway mileage is around 15.
