Got the 4000s and the M12 installed over the past week.

The Hellas wouldn't fit in the tabs on the ARB without rubbing against the top bar, so I got some tabs from Rock Logic and mounted them forward of the ARB location. I got them from a guy that sells a lot of Hella on Ebay (user ID kozb4 I think) for $240 (lights, clear shields, harness, and shipping).

Got the M12 new/unused from a guy at Fort Hood. Mounts right into the ARB bar. The solenoid pack has to be tilted back a few degrees from horizontal to fit. If I didn't have a ton of other crap in the engine bay I'd relocate it there. If I get too much time on my hands I may mount it inside the ARB wing next to the signal and mount the winch remote plug through the bar and flush with the top.

nice job, and sure would like a winch like that

but I have to say that with all the potential issues having to do with overheating and HG busting etc, personally I would be hesitant to block half of the air flow to the rad with big lights... :)

I've been wanting to mount some Hella 4000's as well. How is the tab attached to the bumper? Is the tab welded on to the ARB or bolted onto the existing tab? Elaborate on the tabs and mounting the lights please. Thanks.

thanks for the post!!

Very curious about airflow around the lights in 100°+ temps. I know it's probably not that hot up there yet, but the 100's are here in AZ...

does that guy sell hella 4000 covers:confused: i sure hope so

If it's the clear covers you're after, he does (read my post). If it's the ones you get with the lights (white with Hella logo), I'm not using mine, PM me.
