Get the veggie free from a local restaurant in town. Hard to calculate exact MPG's on veggie because of the tank switching, etc. The truck gets about 16 MPG town, 18MPG hwy on diesel, so I guess it's about the same on veggie.

There is a network of people that share veggie. The Fill Up For Free GreaseCar WVO Network › News
It's a little slow to take off, and so far been unable to take advantage of it. I'm on the list and have been able to give some away to people traveling through a few times. Met some good people and learned some BS'ing with them.

Great write up and pics love the color also...

See you next weekend:steer:

Truck looks amazing. I love what you've done with it.

I really dig the color.

Great story and writeup.....thanks for sharing!

Very Nice!! Whats your mpg with and without the veggie juice?

My question is how is the power with that motor? Plans to bolt up a turbo or two?

Thanks for the compliments. Stock, the power is about the same as driving a 2F. I've been able to get another 5 to 10HP by turning up the fuel delivery on the injection pump, but lose an MPG or two. It's worth it for the extra power. Only problem is then power levels running veggie goes way down. So I try to run a stock inj pump now.

Don't plan on running a turbo because I'm not willing to hack out the inner fenderwells on this truck to make room for it and crossover pipes. If I diesel my beater 60, a turbo will definately go in. They are very easy to turbo.

very cool. I like veggie rigs. I wish I could do the same in the future. I really like the green paint as well. Do you have any pics of the quarter protection?

cool!! I really dig your 60, and that color is awesome!!! also interested in the quarter protection it looks interesting

Very nice. I like it a lot.

They aren't that much protection for hard wheeling, but serve the purpose for light use. I know they saved the lower quarter once when the rear end slid off a rock and came crashing down on another rock.
