I am planning on mounting 2-4 PIAA driving lights on top of my roof rack. I tried searching this forum for ideas and didnt havemuch luck. I have a few ideas on how to run the wires but I would love to hear or see what you guys have done.

if you look close at the first mount you can see the wires .... there in plastic and just slid in to the door and down to the plastic molding

What I did was
I ran the wires thru the tubeing & then down the rear gutter mount,
dwn the rain gutter with a lil silicon glue to keep it dwn & in thru the back hatch.
All wires that are exposed are wraped in shrink tube.
You can only see a small bit of wire as it goes over rain gutt & into the Rig.
Hope this helps you out:cheers:

Does the opening and closing of the door cause it to break loose ?
I was thinking of coming down the front rain gutter along the windshield then down under the hood.

nope works just fine no leaks either

I just drilled a hole in my roof, precisely under the front bracket of the roof rack, and made it water resistant. Works just fine

One of the nicer ways i've seen it done is similar to 2sun's. except using the snorkel from the engine compartment (inside tube) to the roof rack. hole and some silicone from the snorkel to the roof rack.

I stowed it in my brain for if i ever get a roof rack... no pics, but hopefully that makes sense.

GL!

So you ran the wire inside the roof line ?

Thanks for all the ideas mudders, I think tonight I will lay out some wire and see whats going to work best. I also plan on taking pictures and posting them up so others can see something that doesnt seem to be documented on this forum yet. cheers:beer:

So here is what I decided to do, not the best or the worst but it worked for me. I just punched a few holes thru the rain gutter and pulled the weather strip up and hid it in the pillar with the seat belt and under the carpet out the hole in the firewall where the hood latch cable is.
