Thought I'd ask before I broke something.

How does one take the green panel off the roof in the picture? There appears to be captive nuts on the roof top, and the bolt heads are not (easily) accessable from the door side.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. The truck is a '67 LPB.

Yeah, that piece threw me off for a while as well.

Hello I am having this exact problem right now. How did you get at the hidden bolt heads?? Mine is a 77 if it makes any difference.

As I recall, you squeeze the green piece sides and it will release and come off so you can gain access.

The old fart above is correct. Unfortunately, this old fart didn't take good pictures of the disassembly process. I seem to remember tapping one direction and then the other, prying, then squeezing both sides together to release it from the groove in the part closer to the roof section. I'll attempt to add a picture from the archive that shows both parts separated.

I think I see what I have to do. Thanks a lot guys!

I Know this is an old thread, but I'm going through this at the moment. I think I have the dis assembly figured out, but id be keen to see pics (especially of reassembly)if anyone has done this recently.

I drove mine 6 years without the roof during spring, summer and autumn without dismantling this roof parts.
It worked very well.
