Awesome work as always Roma!

A few months ago I started build a camper style top for the m416. The goal is to have sleeping room for two in the trailer and my roof top tent up top for two more. I have two little ones. I don't have a tig welder and have never welded aluminum but my friend John talked me into building it all out of aluminum. I'd do all the fab and cutting fitting and he would weld it. Well didn't take much convincing on my part since I hate rust.

1/4 wall angle and 1/4 wall 2x4

Is your plan; Little ones on the 1st floor (in the trailer) Bigger ones on the 2nd floor (roof top) ???
Or will your design create some bump outs on the 1st floor for added length that adults may appreciate?

Thanks

Something like that Larry but I’m 5’11 and my wife is 5’9 so we can fit down below as well I believe. But es the goal was sleeping for four plus plenty of storage for the camping gear and travel stuff when we take a trip in the 40 or 71 where interior space is lacking.

@roma042987 do you mind measuring how high the bottom of the frame is off the ground when the trailer is level? I’m curious how those coopers compare to the original 7.0r16’s.
