I spoke to Roger last weekend. He sounded like he was in good spirits. Recovery from the hip surgery has not been a cake walk, but he had been out with Rob a few days earlier shopping so he was making progress. He mentioned staying off the computer because service at the house is so slow.
To illustrate how well his spirits are doing, most of our conversation centered on what he has to do to get the wagon ready for the Alaska trek this summer. I took this as a good sign that he had goals and good times ahead so this surgery was not going hold him from them.
You may want to call him too. He did not seem put out by my call or even taxed by talking.

Recovering well, thanks to a great Physical Therapist, I have almost full range of motion. Still using a walker to keep some of the weight off the new joint while it welds it self in place. I see the Doctor Monday to get staples (37) out and hopefully he will tell me I can start driving and release me to light duty in the shop cause as Larry pointed out I have a lot of work left to get Rig ready for the AK trip. While Rob was on Family sick leave helping out over here he got a lot of the body work done on the 60.
I have made several short trips to Town this week and am driving to Chattanooga tomorrow to attend the SFWDA Leadership meeting.
