Just a note, if you were thinking about putting Rock Warriors on your truck. The trim rings from Toyota are now over $200 EACH. If you trash one, or you buy a set that needs one, you will get bent over. This is across the line from all Toyota dealerships and online sellers. Think twice before you buy Rock Warriors unless you're using them on a trail rig. If you have them on your rig for looks, consider taking the rings off before you wheel your truck. They're just too valuable to damage right now. Honestly, if I known that, I wouldn't have bought a set.

I can get a like new-set of Tundra 18s locally for right around 300-350 bucks. Can't buy two Rock Warrior trim rings for that! 18's definitely look like the more economical choice for a rig that does double duty as a daily driver and trail rig

I have a set of Methods with the black plastic trim ring. I don't wheel them so they are ok for the purpose.

My SCS F5s take a beating. So I would need to get them refinished if decided to change wheels.

They look better sans rings anyway.

not that I know these wheels but from the bit here, I can't wrap my head around this... so one should not put on rings that are intended to protect the rim from damage because the rings could get damaged when protecting the rim...? or are these rings entirely for cosmetic purposes and this is just Bling?

@e9999 Logically, Install the "rock rings" when wheelin'. Remove when pimpin'.

I'd probably just convert them into real beadlocks'... maybe like the Raptor wheels. Can be both standard and beadlock.

They serve no purpose other than adding weight and collecting dirt between themselves and the wheel. Hence why I deleted mine.

They do a great job at protecting the rim from damage. It's the sole reason I have them (the rings or the wheels) at all on my truck.

If you're not wheeling the truck then yeah, they serve no functional purpose.

These are 100% cosmetic beadlocks.

The point is - if you buy the wheels for looks, and wheel your truck once or twice a year, consider the cost vs. how you want your truck to look. If you wheel your truck hard or often, then you don't care what they look like. Consider this a friendly notice that the price more than doubled in the last three months for each ring.

Did you polish the lips of the rims?

I had the holes welded shut (the wheel shop I found wasn't the best so you can still see where the holes were. I'll have them redone properly someday...maybe) and the lips machined flat to mimic the original finish on the rings.

That's probably more work than I'm inclined to do at this point in time. I will say, however, that I might have found a parts counter that was still selling at the old price. Had a link that I put in a couple months back that had the old price. Online order went through with no issue. If the four rings I ordered show up, I have got the old ones as trail beaters, and I'll share the link that got me to the new ones. Assuming it works.....
