Long time, no see guys...

Anyone have these? I am really thinking about getting a set. I have been seeing a lot of truck around here with black rims... no to mention I'd like to keep my stock Toyo rims in good shape.

What size should I be looking for? I am running 31" tires on the stock rims. I might be going to 33" soon. Will they work on the same rim? Thanks.

Should work on stock..... but if your planning on buying new black rims.. then go with a 15 or 16 inch rim that is 8 inches wide!! (tires seem to be more readily available with a 15" rim)

Thanks. I guess my post was a little confusing.

I am planning on getting new rims and having the 31s installed on the new rims... but I might be moving to 33s soon. I just wanted to know if the 33s will be OK on the 15 x 8 rims.

Thanks again.

Yes.

Those look great, 3putt.

Can you tell me the specifics of all the measurements of the wheels you used? Backspacing, etc.

Thanks.

Thier 15x8 Rock Crawler series 97 with 2.75 inch backspacing. I paid less than $60 a wheel from a small shop in Jacksonville, fla. Tires are 32x11.50. There is not red line arround the edege like all the wantabe j@@p guys have.

2.75" backspace?

You had me intrigued but I can only find this one which is 3.75" backspace:

15x8 Size 6x5.5 Bolt Pattern 3.75" Back Spacing Does not fit Toyota Tacoma
PCW97-5883

If you have a part number for a 2.75" backspace wheel, please give it up. :D

Tapage, like your rig, what are you hanging your spare tire with and how much lift and tire do you have?

I had got those same style rock crawlers by accident from Discount tire (actual brand from them was Unique). In 3.75 inch backspacing and they rubbed teh stock calipers. It was the metal behind the circular cutouts or the flange of those cutouts that rubbed. I tried some light grinding but couldn't make them work on the front. I got the D window type and they work fine. I like seeing the circle hole style on the cruiser. Looks great!
I don't know what is different between the ones that wouldn't work on mine and the one you guys are running on yours.

Either way jhstatts, make sure you get them to check and double check. Took me a couple of weeks to get it all ironed out.

Tapage, rig looks great. you too 3putt cop. Hope to catch you at the next alpha pit ride.

Thanks, guys.

Yeah, I'd like for them to work the first time around.
I found some for $40 per wheel (which sounds good to me).

I really like the look of the black wheels on a white cruiser.
