Putting my 1970 FJ40 up for sale.

Body was recently disassembled and stripped to bare metal for any needed rust repair and prevention. Passenger and driver floor pans were replaced along with the transfer case cover. Interior was bedlined.

Disc brake conversion on front.

New rain gutter installed and relined the roof with a grey felt liner.

New lock cylinders for the doors.

There have been modifications from previous owners, so this is not 100% stock. (example later model bucket seats instead of the split bench)

Has the Inline 6 motor with a 4 speed transmission. Runs, shifts and drives nicely.

Frame is clean.

$35000

Any engine work when the body was redone?

What color paint is that?

10/29/2024 FJ went to the shop. The engine stopped running when coming to a stop while driving yesterday. It started back up but stopped again while stopping and would not restart. My initial plan prior to listing it for sale was to put it in a shop this winter to have the motor and engine bay components looked over and possibly do a rebuild or swap. Depending on prognosis and resolution, this may affect my asking price. Weather I'm driving it or a future owner I want to ensure it starts and runs reliably.

I will post an update status once the shop has been able to look everything over.

Update: Feb 5, 2025. Had the starter replaced with a remanufactured starter from Cruiser Corps with the gear reduction (huge difference). Also had some wiring done to remedy some voltage drop.
