seeing as how the 183e is hard to find, has anyone looked at or used this alternative? It looks like an alternative anyway. I don’t even have a vehicle yet but looking into the future. This one is by Max Ellery. Number EP.TO18.

I've got it. I mean, it's fine...I grew up with Chilton's Manuals so it's along those lines. If you compare it to the actual Toyota publications you'll see the night and day difference. Is it good enough for the bulk of simple repairs and maintenance tasks you're likely to do? I would bet it is. Can someone go over it carefully and find flaws and omissions? I would bet they can.

And don't buy anything until you get your truck. "Pre buying" your way into easier ownership is an illusion. Whatever you think you'll need, you won't - you'll need other things.

Used copies of English text RM183 pop up on eBay Europe from time to time but when I share the listing then people say it is too expensive yet those listings don’t last long at all. The buy it now listings go fast. Supply and demand. Be careful because some are in German so make sure you review the listing. The German ones sit for longer periods of time.

I would just keep an eye out for a used copy on eBay and act on it fast because nothing really compares to Toyota’s own paper manual in your hands.

I have all the Pre-98 troopy repair manuals. If anyone wants them, hit me up and I'll share the google drive link. Take to your neighborhood printing store and get printed.

Awesome thanks everyone. I won’t buy anything until I get a vehicle. Good advice. Nice to know there is something out there. Thanks for sharing the link as well @Rigster

No problem, and as @prwillard2 stated, getting the pdf printed is a great option. I got one of my manuals printed at staples and coil bound. You end up paying close to what you would have paid for these new, but when they are unavailable, it seems suddenly like a great deal.
