Hi, I will be going to an auction where they feature a RJ70, but the paper ad shows the following: 1988 RJ70 LV-KR...I-m wondering what the LV-KR means...any clue ?

L=LHD V=hardtop K= 4sp R= standard trim

The K sounds wrong ,I thought they were all 5 sp or auto.

kind of off topic but my PZJ75 1995 is a factory 4 spd...
i guess it is possible then...

Yes Wayne your right,I was thinking of the oz spec 70s.
In hindsight there are probably 4sps out there.

J,the R is for the 22R 4cyl petrol engine the same as some hilux have.
Its based on an old engine from the corrola range dating back to 1953.
Same body as a LJ 70 and was actually the 1st model Prado
