After more than a decade of chasing a Right Hand Side Snorkel I decided it was time to stop waiting on others and sort it for myself.

The end result is a Right Hand Side made from a high impact thermo plastic which is UV resistant for years of use without issue.

Now I appreciate Snorkels are not for everyone and that is fine but if you are running a Toyota Diesel in a 40 you know only to well that keeping if water free is a great thing and not having to have a cross over in the engine bay is another great thing.

These are not being sold as a PERFECT FIT for every 40 out there as there are a number of difference with alignments . I have made the mounts to allow the front screen to still lay down but I am not 100% sure I like it so may do another one for it staying up. The difference is with the lay down you need to use the bottom hings bolts and avoid the hinge pin, if I ignore that and use the upper bolts I can get a better fit.

Anyway at this stage they ship with the lower windscreen hind bracket.

Kit Includes:
- RHS Snorkel
- Air Ram
- Pipe clamp for Air Ram
- Mounting Bracket
- Mounting Bolts.
- Fitting template

Due to a heap of small variable the bracket uses slots to let you get it positioned for your window angle and fender alignment.

Price is $350 shipped in the Lower 48

I have several boxed and ready to ship to Australia and will be $525 shipped to your door

Payment Methods are :

PayPal Family and Friends - $350 / $525

PayPal Good and Service $400 / $575

They are ready to ship and will go out within a few days of payment being received.

Any questions feel free to ask.

I am not sure how long these be available so it is first pay first served. When I run out I will decided if I get another batch.

Awesome looks good! So how does it work connecting to the air box?? Will the airbox need to be modified?
Does the top of the snorkle still feel sturdy? Using the lower hinge bolts the top doesn't look very supported.
Thanks!

You can stand on it and it doesn't care so yeah it is pretty strong.

Connecting to the air box is 100% on the customer as there are so many options and ways to do it. If people want a bolt in solution for the air box then they can send me their air box and I will modify if to suit hook up for an additional fee.

I thought I would post here to avoid all the "Inbox Messages"

The snorkel kit as it sits is offered as it sits. Over the next few months or more I will be fitting them to several BJ 40 / 42 / 46 variants and at this time I will post pictures and info of how I did the air box, plumbing, mounting etc.

If you want this info before you purchase then simply wait till I have done that, I am in no rush and do not need to sell them today and there are 25 or so on the shelf.

I did not do this to make money or sell snorkels ... I did it cause I wanted one and I had to get 25 minimum order and my obsession with a RHS Snorkel did not see that as a limitation and has run for over a decade and I don't really care if I never sell a single unit cause I have what I wanted :)

I do not currently have all the answers and I probably got a bit excited that there maybe others out there like me with a BJ who have been hanging for a RHS Snorkel :)

To date all we have done is taken a Left Hand Side and got a Right Hand Side match. This design has been around since the 80's and the shape is exactly the same as the safari units which is what the Chinese ones were copied of.

I do not see enough Stock BJ Series trucks in SOCAL to be confident of how to do air box hookup and I would imagine as people get them and nut it out pictures will appear online and other can copy and improve what has been done. Most of the BJ's I see are modified or being modified.

If you are after a bolt on solution with no thinking or tweaking then this is NOT FOR YOU as you will need to think and tweak to fit your application.

To be CLEAR I would 100% prefer to sell none and get no issues then sell them and have people think they are getting a refined solution over many years of development only to find out it is not perfect.

So they are what they are, I can not be any more upfront about it. If you have concerns DO NOT BUY !!!!

I am totally interested! Someone had a left hand one on my rig when I bought it but it wasn't connected (just for show) so I took it off but really want a RH one. I would like to get on the list but I would like to see some options for the airbox connection before I pull the trigger. Please keep me posted!

I'm in the same boat. I'm 98% in but I wanna see someone go first! Having a 1 minute look today I'm thinking it shouldnt be too hard to just spin the bottom part of the airbox and make a hose to fit. I'd like to see a photo from inside the guard to see where the snorkle pops out from.

Connecting the snorkel to your air box is pretty straight forward. I don't know what diameter the intake pipe is on a BJxx, but a 3FE and 1HZ/IHDT are both 3". Brad's snorkels are copies of the Safari style so they have a stepped 3" and ~2.75" shoulder where it enters the bib.

All you need is something like this and a tube of sealant to seal up the ends: Spectre Performance Memory Flex Air Duct Hoses 8741

Hi do you still have any of the passenger side snorkels?

@YoYoHo Who did you use for manufacturing the parts? I have an L200 duct for factory AC I’d like to make reproductions of.

I would be interested also as I’m doing a 3B swap in to my FJ40

PM’d this guy several months ago and haven’t heard anything since. Anyone know if @YoYoHo is okay? I’d like to run one of these with a turbo fir my 3B.

I hope he’s ok too. When I went to visit him last year, he had more work lined up than sounded sane to me. Perhaps he’s just unplugged so he can focus on getting projects done. I can definitely relate to that.

Hi! New of the forum, thanks for every answers that will came.
Is already possible to get this kind of snorkel? Any link for buy it? Thanks!
