I'm trying to understand the deal with the Rhd and the lhd. Which is more common and which are mostly imported? Looking at getting one and wanted more info on the difference between the two.

Thanks

What is a lhd worth that is disassembled? No drivetrain? Body work complete

The one on ebay, easy 8 to 10 k, lhd are non existent in the states! Most are imported from aus and are all rhd.

As an owner of both LHD and RHD FJ40-45 I can tell you my preference is the RHD over the LHD. Just more fun and I can get to my mail box better.
Most of the parts are interchangeable between RHD and LHD other than the Tie Rods, Steering components, and such and a few engine components.
The good news is a few guys on the Mud site are staring to carry and sell most of the new steering parts as RHD trucks that are being shipped into the US monthly due to the US 45 series is getting pretty old as most LHD are in the 1960's era but still going strong but just getting smaller in count.
You can get LHD vehicles out of France, Germany, Finland and such but the cost is much higher for shipping compared to Australia to the US. It seems we have a couple of shippers that have establish good Land Cruiser terms found here on MUd that ship from Australia.
As whitey45 states "RHD only takes 10 minutes to get used to" bottom line, it just falls into what you what. My 10 cents worth.
Good luck

Yea I was looking at the one on ebay. It looks as if he has most the parts except drivetrain but he said he was going to do a ram jet in it. I think it would be a fun project and I love rare stuff!

If I don't win the one on ebay where could I start to look to get a LHD fj45 troopy? Whether it be imported in or in the states, I would like to find one very similar to how his is without a drivetrain but everything else.

Thanks
