I do not see any wires coming off my three speed tranny reverse switch. I've searched the forum but did not see any close up pics. Anyone have any ideas how the wires hook up to it? How hard is it to rewire the thing? Thanks, ty

Originally, the wires were soldered to the terminals on the switches.

I will post pictures and wire diagrams tomorrow. If you had the three on the tree, the reverse switch was actually on the column not far above the steering box.

I should've mentioned the shift is on the floor. It has the two stub prongs sticking out but I can't fathom how the wires hooked up to it.

OOPs. I just understood Poser's RE. All I have to do is just solder some wires and check for current?

Thanks, ty

If this is on your 69 FJ40 Look for wires near the High beam switch should be a Red wire with a Blue stripe that needs to go to your Reverse switch the other stub wire needs to go to your backup light

I'll look for it. Thanks! A lot of the wiring has been chopped and replaced so I'll see what it looks like. Thanks again, ty
