On a 93 if I pull the EFI fuse should it reset the CE light? This is what I've done w/ no success.

If you're facing the fusebox from the driver side (US) I'm pulling the circular top looking fuse in the top left corner

Right there if that helps. I left it out for 15 minutes the 2nd time to make sure.

THANKS,

ERIK

What's the code?

I have heard one other guy that couldn't get the MIL to reset following removing of the EFI fuse. He had to disconnect the battery which is 100% guaranteed to reset the MIL (aka Check Engine light.)

I believe 28 on non-OBD-II vehicles is the O2 sensor.

thanks... i'll have to do it the "harder" way.. no worries.........

Fuse is located in the engine compartment. It is a 15A standard blade type fuse, not circular. Based upon your diagram it looks like you are pulling the EFI Relay not the fuse.

Good catch Phil. He is pulling the relay instead of the EFI fuse.

28 is the #2 O2 sensor. It is time for you to change the oxygen sensors.

Phil's right again...that's the EFI relay.

EFI fuse is 15 AMP standard and on the bottom row...second from the right....IIRC.

BTW DAN...in the side by side cat of a 93...which is the #2 O2 sensor? The inner or outer? And what should a smart shopper expect to contribute to the cause for something like that?

Don't you need to replace both? If I can do it on my '94, anyone can do this one. hehehe

Safado, I replaced my 91's last month and got a pretty good deal from Oxygensensors.com. $116 for the left and $95 for the right (#2) If one needs to pull the EFI fuse to reset the warning light with the 28 code this means the problem was not solved. I replaced the O2's and the light was reset by its self. HTH.

Photogod - only one place to order OEM Yota parts - Cdan. Period. End of discussion. hehehe

The front runner is number one and the rear runner is number 2. This is on a 93 or 94. later robbie
