#Salt life means something different up here in New England for sure!
I feel so bad that all of this salt ends up in our rivers and oceans- changing the chemistry I’m out environment and ecology.
I guess I really am the last person to say it considering I drive this gas guzzling (fat) pig. Lmao.
my neighbor has three hybrids plugged in and I try to help him out in his endeavors to keep them economically functioning and on the road so there’s that. (really isn’t much i admit)
my wife grew up going family camping in ADK, and I love the woods. So we go, when we go, I pack everything possible! Lol even a Coleman kitchen sink! Kick ass!
Admittedly, we have been straying away from ADK in The recent years due to the competitiveness of the reservation of the campsites and desire to explore other places.
We went to an organic dairy farm on the Atlantic coast in Maine. Camping there was really exciting! Kayaking in the ocean with the fam was incredible! Bald eagles and osprey diving for fish is a sight to behold.
Also having camp fire lobster and oyster dinner for dirt cheap is also another upside ! I guess we were too busy eating to get out to Acacia national forest and other such sights. no regrets! Next time.
we also went to explore the cape cod area with the kids getting older to appreciate fishing~ and my wife’s interest in clamming and oystering in Chatham was great! I wasn’t even disappointed getting skunked out of the bait- it was so beautiful especially in our days out in monomoy national wildlife refuge we saw whales, dolphins, seals... too much.. all kinda of fish, birds and other critters in the surf like crabs, sea stars- the kids were screaming with excitement the entire time.
loved it!
having a reliable vehicle to get my family around is key to a successful trip. I hope this fat pig will get is around without too much trouble this season
