Request from GCLCNY Member - Wedding Getaway 40!!

A guy named Ryan McManus in the GCLCNY (NY, NJ, PA) TLCA club is getting married in the Charleston area later this year and is hoping to rent a 40 from someone local to use as their getaway vehicle. Wedding is Aug 21, and it’s an afternoon thing so he'd need the truck from 12-6 or so. If anyone is interested in helping this cruiserhead out send him an email at ryan@youthoftomorrow.net.

Ryan, there are a few 40's out here, but I have to warn you... August is ridiculously hot in Charleston and I don't know any that have AC... Is your bride going to be wearing her dress in the 40?

@RyanTomorrow, coming from NY to here in mid Aug will feel like you've stepped in hell's hottest day. A little old school southern advice for a newlywed, If momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy. I don't think momma will be happy in 100% humidity and in the mid-to upper 90s with no A/C.

LOL! There are a few of those out here too, but none on my side of the tracks!

If you decide to go the 40 route, I'm sure we can work with you. Mine has nice fresh new seals all over and I'm kind of lazy, so the top never comes off... Something tells me the pics would look better if y'all were topless (pun intended). If you feel like helping finance a new AC system, lemme know quick so I can engage @Trollhole .

I spoke with my girl about this idea and the no A/C issue. She just shrugged and said "it's only a few miles drive - it'll be fine!"

If you are unable to find one with a soft top or no top, we can work something out. The pictures and memories would be much better if you weren't dealing with a hardtop, but it's a decent backup plan.
