Reprogram Car computer (1 Viewer)

Hello

I own a Lexus LX 470 1998 and i intend to do some modifications in its computer for example when i insert the key the steering wheel come down(this is from the manufacture) what i want to do is for example when i close the car and remove the key the seat goes back, when i lock the car it goes down to Low Level.


is all this possible???

I know you can turn off/on the auto-tilt / telescoping of the steering when inserting/removing key and you can change the door lock settings (put in drive and doors lock or not lock). I'm not sure what else was available for personalized settings, but I'm inclined to say... Not much in 1998. Good luck.

Short answer, no. The user/dealer configurable variables don't extend to "lowering on locking" but are limited to things like enable/disable tilt and telescope steering column, headlight and interior light off delays, wiper delay, rear wiper on selecting reverse, sun roof and window operation on holding unlock button on fob, unlocking door functions - that sort of thing. Im sure there are a few more, can't recall all ATT. These are customizable utility functions (based on my use with an 03 LX so may be different to your '98) within Tech Stream, additional to all the DTC, monitoring, vehicle health check, key programming and reset/calibrate functions.
