Hey guys reposting to get some new eyes.

I've found the leak is coming from where the red arrow is situated. Can't tell if it's the seal or something else. Any advice?
Link with info below.

Thanks!

Injection pumps leak when O rings get hard and shrink, or if copper seal washers have been re-used.

If the leak is really coming from that point (which IIRC is a small pressure regulator), then you can try replacing the copper washer, though they should never start to leak unless they have been disturbed. If that does not work, either the leak is coming from somewhere else (most likely) or the component itself is leaking.

Thanks for your response, the only tamper in that area is a new fuel filter recently? As mentioned I did a big trip with constant rattles and bumps but I agree does not make sense for it to leak, it is probably 30years old mind you tho. I'll give the washers a go. Is there any precautions with taking it off and replacing the washer? Do I need to drain any fuel etc? Or a fsm guide? Thanks!

To ad to this aswell, recently it's being struggling more then usual to start.
Use to be instaneous and now it's taking a few extra seconds, it's also alot colder then usual here in Aus

The FSM will only detail a full pump strip down and rebuild. You may get a dribble of diesel out, but nothing to worry about - the pump should purge any air when the engine is restarted.

The leak will have nothing to do with cold starting or changing the fuel filter.

Thanks mate, is there a torque rating for the pressure regulator? Struggling to find any information tailed to that specific part on any diagram :(, I'm still learning my head around the manuals and would love to tackle this on my own cause I don't have a trusted mechanic and for a " diesel pump " il get stringed hard

The whole (solenoid or lead wire plastic cover?) seems to be soaked with more prominent fuel going on the side under the pressure regulator? The rusty valve.

It looks like the regulator is leaking through the threads of the adjuster bolt, it does not look like it's coming from the copper washer against the body.

You may be able to remove the cover to expose a lock nut and possibly another washer or O ring, but I have never been in there myself. Worst case, you could buy a new regulator - I believe that P/N 22749-64851 should fit.

Thank you so much mate. Will keep U posted
