can you do them with a silver background on the center and silver rings so they look just like oem? basically replace the white with raw metal. i'm a buyer if you are able and want to.

I think I understand what you're asking Tony. The shifter is machined then polished(shiny aluminum). They are then anodized black(glossy as a result of the polishing). Then a laser burns the image(letters/numbers,etc.). The laser isn't etching or removing the anodizing, rather just dying the black pigmant rendering it white. It would require a great deal more power than a engraving laser produces to actually cut through the anodizing into the base aluminum. Could be done, but not with a commercial CO2 engraving laser. We could send you a knob if you want to have it cut lasered as there are companies who provide deep laser engraving.

Here are some of the transfer case knobs finished. Note that I had both images lazered onto the knobs(white letters/numbers with black background as the originals and some with black letters/numbers per a few guys request). These were tapped per the original m12 x 1.25. If your shifter is different(likely smaller if at all) then a thread insert can be made to convert it. These can be commercially sourced for 5-10 bucks. If anyone wants a special image on the top or a different shift pattern my contract shop are willing to do it for $25.00, which is my shops cost. I'll pass that discounted price onto you. As this thread is getting long I'm going to start a new one for these knobs. Welcome to contact me with any questions.

Others have shipped. Your TC knob is ready. We had to make your 5 speed shift knob as you wanted the white numbers against black knob. It's done and back, so we need to get it to the engraver. Will be this week.

Hard to tell guys by only your user name. I have to check PayPal which has your actual names. The only knobs were waiting for here are the non standard 5spd with black lettering. We have 3,4,5 spd knobs and the TC knobs back. Some TC knobs have been lazered and sent out. Others were done this week and were notified we can pick them up this Monday. So unless you ordered a 5 spd with black lettering it has either shipped or it will ship on Monday.
Sorry so long guys as these are tough when we're just doing ones and twos at a time with different lettering. As previously mentioned, slot of people who said they wanted these never got them as this thread was bounced by the moderators to the small business forum which I never knew existed. So I'm sitting on a bunch of the originals which could go to great homes if people knew they were even available. Merry Christmas and feel free to contact me if you have any questions

All but the 5spd with white lettering/numbering have shipped. Those are made but need to be anodized with another order in about a week or so. We have 4 spd with white lettering, 5spd black lettering, TC in both. 5spd with white lettering are still being done.
