I’ve offered to ship them to Ridies so that they could correct it for future orders.
On a side note, I think I like it w/o the arm rests.

Apparently. How does applying the small armrests over the foam AND the OEM leather become easier?

For one, the seatback (at the top) is supposed to connect to the lowest point of the support bar that runs laterally. Your installer connected it higher up, meaning the leather isn't as tight.

For two, the leather flap that's attached to the seatback spring is supposed to wrap around the underside of the seat, not inside. And now you have a hog ring hanging onto the metal spring, not a proper support bar. Weird / wrong.

For three, the lumbar support shoudl be flat against the seat back, not at an angle. It's angled because the foam isn't far down enough. The foam isn't far down enough because there's a round crossbar that it has to "slip" over on the bottom. I believe the black bar is visible underneath that clip. The foam and leather were supposed to wrap around it, not sit on top of it. If you can reach your hand in between the seat cushion and the seatback and feel the metal rod, then you know it's wrong.

I don’t think I can do anything regarding #1 as holes are already cut for the head rests. I now know why there is little slack at the top of seat back.
Regarding #2, would you please point to exactly where it must be wrapped around?
Regarding #3, I can feel the metal rod when I slide my hand between seat cushion and seat back. I called the guy and told him that he’ll have to correct #2 & #3. Will drop it off once I get the seat back clips in the mail.

Good move there. Very strange that an Upholstery shop would screw this up like they did. Me doing it I can understand.

Shows the value of going slow and taking pics iffin' you DIY it.

For #2, it goes around the same bar as the main lower flap

Finally had the chance to take some pictures for those of you interested in Ridies seat covers.
The clips that came with the covers worked for me, didn’t have to use the ones off of the OEM cover. However, my installer had to sew some extra leather on the back of the front seats. I’m not sure why he had to do it as the back plastic panel would have covered it anyway but here are the pictures....

Other than the loose areas, I think it looks great. You have a mighty clean 100 there. I just talked to a family owned local upholstery shop today. He said I buy new covers and if it take the seats out and bring them to him, he will do the seats armrests, and headrests for $75/seat labor. This includes steaming and/or adding foam. I told him about the clip piece that @Ridies does not have, and he said that this is common because that piece may not be available. He said that he would just sew mine on the new covers. So, I have to request the wrinkles like the Lexus OEM leather? Color light tan?

Correct. Just put “wrinkles in the middle section like lexus oem seats” in the special instructions field. Color is light tan.
 
Has anyone verified these replacement covers fit the US spec 98 LC?
