Hello!
This is my first question to the Forum, being a new member! So apologies if this has already been answered somewhere/sometime in the past. But...

I own a 1986 BJ73 5-speed diesel hard top. I live in Portugal, and used parts are getting REALLY hard to find.

The hot water valve has broken on my BJ73, and I can't find another NOS or used version. But there seems to be other models, such as the BJ60, that have newly made water valves, so I'm wondering if another model would fit my BJ73?

Anyone have any information about this? I posted a pic below of the part I'm talking about. Cheers!

The part number is the same for RJ70 LJ70 BJ70 BJ75. The easiest way to find a part is to put the part number into google 87240-90K00.

This ad for tojo4wd 87240-60110 Valve Heater Suitable for Landcruiser 70 75 78 79 Series is saying that other valves off current model 7* can be adapted to suit your model.(bottom paragraph)
Most of these heater valves work the same but the hose angle is different.
I had to find a right angled hose so I could use an FJ73 valve with a 1HZ

Yes, thats what I was trying to say. You may also be able to use 4runner valves with a bit of thought

Thanks everyone. I followed the link that roscoFJ73 offered, and you'll see there that the water valve they offer ALSO NEEDS an additional part that adjusts for the original tube layout (an extra 28 dollars).

Are you sure there are no new original parts available? The LJ77 was in production till 96 in some markets

So far, I haven't been able to find any NOS parts or even a used-but-working option, from eBay or local Portuguese online used markets. Nor even the Pick n' Pull yards. That's why I've ended up on IH8MUD! Cheers.

Good evening,

I am new to the sight and apologize in advance if this has already been covered. I recently purchased a LJ77 and am looking for a sight where I can purchase parts, accessories, etc. in the US preferably, if not, any reputable sight beyond the US.

Thank you in advance!

If you want to take your chances online:
www.partsouq.com
www.megazip.net

Nothing wrong with them, usually cheapest prices but it's 100% up to you to make sure you get the right part. You will get what you ordered, but it might not be what you need. @cruiserdan

Or you can order from vendors and supporters here who may or may not be more money, but they will make sure you have the right parts, and you support these guys who give a ton of knowledge and help to us

@wardharris

to name a few.
