Cruiser-guy. As you recall sometimes a lot of us are not tuned in at all times. So, for example, I just emailed hendrix to check out your posts. Give it a little time.

As regards shape people can work around the hump rise, find older covers...that would be one set of options and / or maybe we can make up some profiles and have them sent to him for year model varience.

I primarily got involved in the past to service th 55 community and my gift was the floorboard shipment to Ehsan...as they say, no good deed goes unpunished. :frown: as the following customs guy can attest: :ban:

But I will go review my boards this week and see if I will be needing any.

need to PM n2666s as well.

I think a faster moving part would be quarter patch panels

Those are also available as described here https://forum.ih8mud.com/pig-parts-group/248168-sheetmetal-2.html#post4852821

If there is any other '55 sheet metal needed post up and I'll talk to Paul next week. He has asked if there is a desire for roof patch panels. They would basically be raingutters and the first 3-4" of roof all the way around, no price on those yet but I can ask if folks are interested.

Charles..
Hope the rubber glove treatment did not put off your return this week...(maybe pack some lube!)
Anyway ..Glove box doors we make these too.
See you soon.
Paul.

Charles, confused here...posts here and on PPG seem to indicate two different flooring costs or I am reading things wrong???

Uh-oh rubber glove...no cameras though I hope.

Eric, you need to check out this thread: Expedition Portal Forum It will help understand what Paul's talking about.

You are reproducing the 55 glove box door???

It can be done!

Not sure what you mean. Full floors from firewall clear back to and including the step under the rear seat, $2000, floor sections as shown in Marshall's diagrams, $600 All FOB San Jose, Costa Rica.

Ok, well it was me. I was not getting the difference in the floor sections. I understand now.

We need to know if you want a cover like a dash cap or a complete door with a soft exterior like OEM.

i'd vote for the latter. something that we can utilize our original handle with. But ther former has potential as well. Trolls repair looks really nice but after a point the GB is too far gon for it.

And nobody is happy with the product available from SOR?

I am going to start a thread asking about that I think. My only reading about them is spotty and I recall the view (s) that they were flimsy but I have no personal experience with them. My take on them is from that- they were akin to the strength of a dash cap but designed to fit on the orig glove box metal. As well, I have heard that about the instrument panel.

Certainly better than nothing but.......

I did not realize SOR had that product! Thanks for educating me!!!

I'd rather not take business from SOR. They are serving the 'Cruiser community well. I'd rather concentrate efforts on parts that are not produced or replicated by anyone. It gets a larger range of parts available for all of us rather than 2-3 suppliers of the same part and no one making 2-3 other bits and pieces.

Agreed as a gen. proposition. Though SOR seems to have no issue with letting the 55 stuff disappear. It is their lowest revenue stream and I think they could really care less.

For example they go and produce troopy panels but not 55 panels. They did not look to replace their 55 dash pad supplier...etc..

When SOR no longer produces the parts then we can look into it but until then let's let them do it and concentrate on other things like the '55 floors, fenders and quarter panels that neither SOR nor anyone else is not offering.

Do they produce troopy replacement panels? Got a link?
