Replacement floorboards - group interest?

I am in for a set of each; the curve on the rear corner is a bitch to get right.........+ like the idea of "original" floorboards :D

Likewise. As I've posted before, I am awaiting a group purchase here in the States to save on shipping.

Also if a package of FJ55 parts were available then I would be willing to wait for that, rather than get each separate part shipped from overseas...

Well, I have read all of this now and I still have no idea if all the headless chicken requests have been corraled somehow. So, I hate to add another cluck to the matter...but is there a consensus and commitment somewhere in all of this?

I don't say this to be glib, I am way to ignorant for that. I just am looking for the reality other than Ehsan's and a few others fine work.
 
I would be in for a set of rear corners, as well as the front fender patch set. Ehsan, I also sent you a PM about this, just covering my bases.

Dr. Ehsan's fender patches

here are a couple of poor shots of Dr. Ehsan's fender patches in place.........did not been shhetmetal in behind the wheel arch very well on the passengers side..........the sheet metal fit well, I am not a good sheetmetal person..........Ehsan, now we need floor pans:D

Very Very nice to see the fit. I am sorry for the floor boards but to be honest, I dont know if there is enough "serious" demand for these. We made 10 odd sets of the patches you bought but only one got sold (yours) over the last 4 months or so. I know the price is good and the fit is good too. I have stopped work on the floor board as that requires a substantial investment. Until the fender patches get some attention..

Carlos; you have pix of what I started with:lol:........still hurting for floorboards......Looks like Dr. Ehsan needs more buyers for the fender patches that by the way worked/fit perfectly except I did not bend the lip around like the original if you look at the PS fender you can see a little step.....yep, it is still "Rusty" the floorboards hide well unter carpet, but in all seriousness we would all benifit from replacement floorboards; just drove 60 miles this afternoon to look at a 71parts pig for 400$ with a decent roof, good hood and decent fenders along with 4 doors good wheelwells..............BUT the floorboards gone to hell....punched through them with my wimpy fingertip:frown:

Just got off the phone with Lance at IPOR and though he has made floorboards in the past, the equipment to fabricate them is expensive and does not know if there is enough demand; same feelings that Ehsan has.........having seen several pigs and seeing what kills them........personally would take a set and maybe a second one if..................... the price was affordable:grinpimp:how many of us have good floorboards??:frown:

and here is the reply I just got from Dr. Ehsan to my inquiry re: fabrication of floor boards and other items. if his floorboards are 50% of the quality of his fender patches than I will be VERY happy!

I will have to get back to you with the cost of the floors. I will have to confirm availability of the vehicle that was for sale. If you can gather a few more people to order upfront once we have decided to make the parts, it would be wonderfull. I would even be willing to make floors, rear corners, fender patches, bumpers in quantities of 10-15 (sets) each and send it to you if you have a warehousing facility available. Or anone else who would be interested in it.

I'm up for a throwdown on floorboards and various patches
 
come on everybody... I know the better number of you guys want to wait and see what else Ehsan will be making for our pigs but he won't be making anything if we don't buy the fender patches. If you were thinking about waiting and then buy other panels at the same time it is a bad idea, Eshan needs to get things sold before he will even think about making more products.

People. Please donot take this the wrong way. I am not being snobbish or selfish here. Its just that I need to know for certain that something that we work on for month in development (like the Fender Patches) would sell in reasonable quantities.

Hello Everyone,

So with this agreement I am also looking at stocking 55 series parts, although I am still on the fence with this, so I'm trying to figure out how much demand there is. There appears to be a lot but with that being said Ehsan has made the fender patches and only sold the one set so far.

Please bear with me here as I am not overly familiar with the 55 but I am learning, feel free to educate me on the 55.

So I guess I'm curious what the reason is that the fender patches have not sold so far; is it that there's not real point in fixing the fender if the floor boards are gone? is it the past lack of a distributor? or...... something I'm missing here? or is it a combination of things?

Let me know what you all think,

Hey mrmouse i cant speak for anyone else but if you gave me a web site with pics and some specs you would have an order this week. Im new to this site and have been spending months trying to find 55 parts elsewhere on the net with little to show for it. so yes very very interested.
