Replace Fuel Injector Plugs - question. (5 Viewers)

Hey gang! I am at the end of my head gasket replacement, and am going though the wiring harness and repairing damage from 30 years of heat and grime. I found a fuel injector plug with a broken flange. I have a spare wiring harness with good plugs that I can splice in if needed, but would rather fish the pins out and replace without cutting the wires.

Question: Is this possible and where do I put the pin release tool to do so if it is? Which pin release tool should I be using?

You pull up the white lock tab and use a really small flat head or a depining tool.

But if yours are as brittle as most, you could just crush the plastic and it'll crumble. Ballinger motorspors sells the plastic housings cheap. Put the factory pins in the new plastic connector and job done.

Any ideas of the part numbers (OEM or Ballinger?) I got the plug off, but the tiny screw driver i used broke something internal to the donor plug and I can get it to lock onto the wire pins after the swap.

The number is on the back of the connector housing. Prefix it with 90980-

or, you can buy it from Ballenger as a kit. You'll likely need new seals, so just cut the terminals off, crimp new ones on and be done with it.
