Renault diesel swap possibilities (1 Viewer)

I just picked up a Renault 4 cylinder diesel with a 5 speed. It is in a small Winnebago currently so it has no transfer case.

Has anybody known of these being used in an 80 series?

I have found out that it is a 2.2L 100HP.

Knew someone who had a beater camper with that. His was front wheel drive, IIRC. No idea how you'd tie that into the existing drive train.

with 100HP and a bit more in torque you might not get to 30mph in 10 seconds.

Forget about it. That engine was gutless and barely survived in cherokees.
