Don't do this:
I initially tried (applied) Goof Off to the emblem (top edge) but that turned out to be a mistake, when I then used a plastic upholstery tool (flat scraper side) to pry off the emblem it ended up removing a layer of paint!!
I think it there may have been a few factors working together to cause the problem; I put the Goof Off along the top edge of the emblem and let it sit maybe 15 minutes (too long). Also this was on a White 80 series (045) which has no clear coat (so paint without clear coat may be more easily damaged) and on top of all that it was a very hot day which might have increased the effects of the Goof Off (chemicals) on the paint.
The end result was that the paint became softened so when I used the plastic scraper to remove the emblem some paint came up with it all in little chunks along the top edge of the emblem, right where I (the goof) had applied the Goof Off.
To remove the remainder of the adhesive I used a 3M eraser wheel on a cordless drill, that worked well. IMO do not buy a cheapo eraser wheel, pay the extra money and get the 3M product.
