Removing sun roof cassette and welding the hole shut (1 Viewer)

Has anyone done this on any of their vehicle, regardless of the marque? I want to do this on my 4th gen 4runner as the rattle is driving me bat s*** crazy and I want more head room. The thought is to find a 3rd gen 4runner in Upull It, cut out a large rectangle piece of roof. Bring that piece home, modify it to suit then graft it on using stitch welding. I've never such a thing and was looking for direction. Let me hear from the pros!
