I'd love to loose the stickers on the wing. Unfortunately they have fused to the plastic. I can't even get a edge to come up.

If a heat gun wont do the trick I would literally go to toyota and buy a new wind deflector. Your truck looks great debadged but man those decals are killing it.

Did you paint your sombrero logo black or plasti dip it? If you painted it, what paint?

I could heat it up and see if I can peel them. If all else fails I'll sand the snot out of it and paint it. Does anybody have a deflector in the basement?
I painted the emblem with rustoleum flat black 2 years ago and it still looks new

I was just going to post that suggestion, just sand them down and paint over. Before you go to that trouble try a heat gun and a flat razor blade to scrape them off.

My deflector is sitting in storage. I would mail it to you but I'm not 100% sure it won't go back on once I have the roof rack.

Let me know if it doesn't go back on. I'll give the razor blade treatment and heat gun a go. Only stickers on my truck that I am keeping are the few on the ARB and d-piller.

Read that but how did you get the coating on? Did you lay the emblems out on waxed paper, apply 5 thin coats with a fine paint brush, then trim the over run with a razor? Did you hold them with tweezers and dunk them 5 times in a shallow pool of PD?...that sort of inthing. The minute you tell me and I understand, I am headed for the garage!

Paul sorry for the delay. I just laid the emblems out on cardboard and sprayed em w PD, making sure to get all sides, edges, and inner sides coated evenly for each coat. I waited about 30 mins b/w coats.

Oh Yeah.... remove the ones on the D-Pillar. Come on guy... Stickers...really?

he has stickers on his front lower control arms. No, i am not making this up. However, I am not a sticker hater. Some are ok.

Now I understand! I didn't know PlastiDip came in a spray-on form. Going to look for some tomorrow. Thanks for the tip!

Search for Plasti Dip on YouTube and you will find tons of people using the spray cans for bumpers, wheels, etc.

Everyone...Check this out! Apparently, you can just spray PlastiDip directly on to the emblems while they are still on the vehicle and then just peel it off the paint and touch up the loose ends with a toothpick. This guy did it on an FJ:

Post #53 on that thread is a LOL.

I left all mine off, and color matched the sombrero to the bumpers before I reattached it.

How about that ugly spoiler?

Only way to make good use of a spoiler on a Land Cruiser is to add the Porsche-like ability of raising/lowering at speeds.

Function over form I'm afraid. I've had cruisers both ways and I dont mind the cleaner rear window. I do mind the 4 giant holes left over when you remove them.

Having said all that I may take it off when I get a rear bumper with swing outs.

I wish I would have read this before spray painting the chrome on my grille surround the other day. Didn't turn out as well as I had hoped. I'm hitting home depot this weekend for a can of this stuff to get the emblems done and re-do the grille. Looks awesome.

should've asked for my opinion I'd have suggested PD or some sort of Bedliner. Spraypaint doesnt hold up to the crap they put on the roads in the winter.

My emblem was sandblasted last winter. Anything facing forward had to get a fresh coat. It was the one winter here where it snowed so bad ( we don't have enough salt trucks. Like 3 for all of Atlanta) they ended up throwing crushed gravel and sand everywhere.
