removed roof rack pics

Today i took off my rack. the eight bolts that hold on the 4 corners came out without the often feared insert twisting phenomenon so often read of on this forum. one of the philip screw heads on one of the bolts striped but i took a 4" grinder to that corner and removed the plastic so i could twist off the stud with some vice grips. now my running boards have some roof rack company down in the basement.

there was'nt any noticable rust but the paint is worn through from the stupid rack brackets

i used stainless allen head fasteners with stainless washers attop rubber washers (see pic). before bolting the mess together i put a pee sized glob of non-hardening sealant over the bolt holes beeing sure the alen bolt had a litle of it all the way around where the allen bolt meets the steel washer. i dont consider this a fool proof fix as only a welder could offer such. i plan on checking the holes yearly

once i put some touch up paint and wax on the wound i will post the pic
