Has anyone adapted a remote oil filter setup to the 3EFI? I dont like the fact that the OEM sits upside down and runs oil everywhere when changing it.

Thanks,
Bill

Bill,
I'm with you there, however I read somewhere here that if you punch a hole in the top of the
oil filter when you get ready to change oil, that it allows all the oil to drain out of it, so no mess.
I haven't tried this since I read it, but I'm going to my next oil change. Since your going to throw it away anyway, it can't hurt. You sure can't end up with more oil in it than not punching a hole in it. And......
it fits the KISS principle (Keep It Simple, Stupid)
Thats my plan, your milage may vary.

Exactly what I was going to say. Either that or just let it sit long enough and all of the oil will drain out by itself.

I tried the remote oil filter thing for awhile. It sounds good and looks liek it would be good, but once you take the filter off, all the oil runs out of the lines that run to the remote filter. It makes a worse mess than where the OE location is.

Use a screw driver, punch a hole (or more if you've had a bad day) in the top and twist the filter just a bit. It works pretty well.
