Since there's really no room under the hood of my 92, I'm curious as to ideas for remote mounting a second battery. It'll be an Optima, so laying on its side is ok.

Anyone ever done this? I recall Yomama maybe has his by the frame...

Actually yes, I used the spare tire support in the rear.

Go out to my website and there are pics. www.yomama.net in the "more cruiser pic" section.

Looks like my web server is down right now  I will give it a boot tonight, so check Friday or later tonight.

you might also consider the 6v half size optimas, they are liek a 6 pach optiam cut in half to make a 3 pack, nice and flat, fits in a lot more places two in series coudl be put in many places such as the rear quarters or possibly somewhere under the hood

this is for your fridge right?

I actually looked at a yellow top for a honda which is 12v and about 2/3 the size of a normal optima. Didn't really save a whole lot of room, so I went with an optima blue top. I was also a little worried about matching batteries from the isolator.

I like George's idea. Have to look and see if I can fit a battery and box in there...
