Gents,

I need a new relay for my 1988 FJ62:

Part number 90987-03001 has been superseded by 90987-0300183, which various Toyota parts stores (online) indicate won’t fit my truck.

Does anyone have advice on/experience with this?

Problem solved.

PN 90987-03001-83 - is in fact interchangeable with the OEM PN 90987-03001.

Got in touch with McGeorge Toyota. They ran my VIN and confirmed the new part will work.

Anyway, if anyone else bumps into this problem (online parts suppliers indicating that the OEM part's replacement won't fit your truck, have the parts supplier run your VIN. The new part will almost certainly fit).
