Is an H55 rebuild (or H41/2 for that matter) considerably more complex than a split transfer case rebuild? I have to guess that it is...

If so is it just MORE to do or are there things that make it more difficult?

I'm in the middle of a split TC and it's a non-issue, just staying organized and going through the process. I'm wondering if I can do the H55 myself too.

Thanks.

I converted an H42 to an H41 and thought it was pretty easy. You will need some special pullers to get the lower bearings out of the case. Otherwise the rebuild is straight forward, and it practically puts itself back together.

Can you elaborate?

And... you wouldn't have possibly kept a list of the parts/part numbers you used in that conversion? How about pics?
