Does anyone know if a HJ61 JDM that has already been registered in Washington would be easier to register in California?

I aint no registrationologist, but I seem to recall Marv Specter telling me once that RHD is not allowed in CA unless the vehicle is really old, like about a '72 model or so. Check with the CA DMV, it's their "turf".

should be ok if it has over 7500 miles and a diesel

Where are you getting your info?

No it shouldnt. It's difficult to impossible to import JDM's.

You meant 100% legally, right? 'Cause I know of at least a dozen of them quietly residing in the US, registered in various states (not CA or others that test diesels)....! ;)

Ya Ex Im talking legally. I too know of a BJ74 running around with BJ 70 vin plates. Anybody can do that stuff. FJ60/HJ60 vins on a HJ61! FZJ80 Vins on a HDJ-81. Etc etc etc.
