Hello Lads,

Greg and I will be tackling Red Cone Saturday (unless of course there's snow....... then we'll be tackling Snow Cone :grinpimp:).

Would anyone else like to join us?

Meeting at the highway 285 / 60 around 10:00ish (tentative).

Wish I wasn't working! May be some minor snow up there from the storm today (Friday)...but Saturday should be clear and nice. Let me know how it is...but thinking that would be a fun one to do...

I don't know Kyle. As your physician, I think you've been looking a bit pekid lately.

My prescription: A day off work and some fresh mountain air!

(Well, maybe next time ;))

C'mon, you know you wanna! :grinpimp:

the way Uncle Sam is working...I may be working for free until they can get their act together...that makes me scared...Red Cone...bring it!

:D

Actually, my previous two posted were directed to the whole CLC community. Hey, if you've gotta work, you've gotta work.

Damn - I really want to do red cone, but tomorrow isn't going to work :(
I need to stop overbooking my weekends

The red cone gates may be locked, if they are, I suggest you print off directions to twin cone. We went up there one year in the snow and had a blast.

We actually made it! A little snowy but it was open. Whether it should have been open is beside the point :D

Nice pics! What a stellar day. I love season transitions like that, and it has been too long since I was out running Red Cone on a 3FE run.

So we are sending a pretty hefty storm your way- Love Oregon. :D

Actually I might personally bring it out.. or chase it out a couple days behind as I head out to Aspen and a friend's wedding this week.

I want to see Travis' shots of this too. The more I look at these the more I see how out of focus they are!

That looks awesome. Sorry I missed that. Looks like the snow and weather were just about perfect, so hard to get the days just right to get a high mountain pass run with just enough snow to make it fun, but not so much to make it not passable.

Nice! My FJ60 should be ready by the next meeting, so I will FINALLY show up to one of these & join the club, fo reals.

Looks like a good time. Glad you guys didn't find too much snow as trails can change quickly.

When I went through Vail late Friday afternoon it was snowing hard. Snow showers where I was camping/hunting. Snowy and muddy, I needed both lockers to get up some hills I have had zero problems with in the past. Going down some hills was a somewhat controlled slide. I questioned my judgement a couple of times. Very remote and no other rigs around.

What's the story with the pickup?
