I have a couple rubber pieces with the early signs of dry rot. Is there away to soak these or conditiion them back into better shape???

Sila Gylde(sp) can be found at most parts stores, it prolly won't make them new, but it will help extend their life.

303 proctectant works well also. "Sunscreen for your rubber" but usually my rubbers go where the sun don't shine. Worth a shot, though.

I don't know how it works on rotted rubber but I used a Maguires trim and rubber cleaner on the last Cruiser renovation ( 1985 BJ73 ) and it really did a nice job of all the black stuff. It was probably the most impressive compound I used in the project.

When tearing my 68 apart, I took the rubber pieces and sealed them is a baggie with some Armor All. I was very satisfied in the way they were reconditioned by sitting for a while.
